Why I Write About Identity, Memory, and Invisible Bonds

There are themes that follow us, even when we are not fully aware of them. For me, identity, memory, love, and the invisible bonds between people have always been part of the way I understand stories — and life itself.

When I write, I do not only think about what happens to a character. I think about what they carry inside. Their fears. Their wounds. Their desires. Their silences. The memories that shape them. The decisions that change them. The people who leave a mark on their lives, even when they are no longer physically present.

That is why my stories often move between emotion and mystery. I am interested in what can be seen, but also in what remains hidden: the connections we cannot explain, the truths we avoid, and the moments that reveal who we really are.

The Identity We Inherit

Identity is not built from one single thing. It comes from our family, our experiences, our losses, our dreams, and the choices we make when life challenges us.

In the Unwavering Bonds series, I explore how family legacy can shape a person in ways that go beyond tradition or memory. Sometimes what we inherit is emotional. Sometimes it is spiritual. Sometimes it appears as a gift, a vision, a connection, or a mystery that links one generation to another.

I have always been fascinated by the idea that love and memory can travel through time. That the past may still speak. That the people who came before us may continue to influence the path we walk.

The Invisible Bonds Between Us

Many of my characters are connected by bonds they do not fully understand at first. Some of those bonds are born from love. Others from pain, destiny, or unfinished truths.

I believe that human relationships are never simple. We affect one another deeply. A word, a silence, a decision, or a loss can stay with us for years. Sometimes, the people we love become part of who we are.

That idea is at the heart of my writing: the belief that some bonds do not disappear. They transform. They remain in memory, in emotion, in the choices we make, and in the way we learn to see ourselves.

Desire, Truth, and Emotional Freedom

In The Lightning of Desire, I wanted to explore another kind of awakening. Desire is not only passion. It can also be a form of truth.

Sometimes what we desire reveals what we have been denying. Sometimes it shows us where we feel trapped, where we have been silent, or where we have forgotten ourselves.

Through the mysterious well and the symbolic presence of lightning, the characters are forced to confront what they have hidden, even from themselves. For me, that story is about emotional freedom, authenticity, and the courage to look inward.

Why I Write

I write because I believe stories can help us feel less alone. They allow us to recognize pieces of ourselves in other lives, other wounds, and other dreams.

My hope is that readers find emotion, mystery, and reflection in my books. I want them to feel connected to the characters, but also to ask themselves questions about their own memories, relationships, desires, and choices.

Who are we beyond what others see?What do we carry from the people we love?How much of our destiny is shaped by memory?And what happens when the truth we fear becomes the truth that sets us free?

These are the questions that inspire my literary world.

For me, identity is never only about who we are. It is about who we have loved, what we have survived, what we remember, and the invisible bonds that continue to shape us.
